Refund policy

At Unity Dance Collective, we are committed to providing an exceptional dance learning experience for all our students. We understand that situations may arise that require adjustments to our services. To ensure transparency and fairness, we have established the following Return and Refund Policy:

1. Class Fees: All class fees are non-refundable, except in the circumstances outlined below.

2. Withdrawals and Cancellations: a. Refunds Before the Start of the Season: If a student wishes to withdraw from a class before the start of the dance season, a refund of the tuition fees minus a 10% administrative fee will be provided. Registration fees are not refundable.

b. Withdrawals After the Start of the Season: Once the dance season has begun, no refunds will be issued for class fees already paid. However, if a student withdraws from a class due to unforeseen medical reasons, a prorated credit for the remaining classes in the current season may be offered upon submission of a valid medical certificate.

c. Students enrolled for fall/winter will be automatically enrolled for spring unless a cancellation request is received before December ends.

3. Missed Classes: a. No Refunds for Missed Classes: We do not offer refunds or credits for classes missed due to personal reasons, scheduling conflicts, vacations, or other commitments.

b. Make-Up Classes: Unity Dance Collective may offer make-up classes for missed sessions, subject to availability and prior arrangement. Make-up classes are not guaranteed and cannot be carried over to subsequent seasons.

4. Event and Workshop Fees: a. Refunds for Cancelled Events or Workshops: If Unity Dance Collective cancels an event or workshop, participants will be offered a choice between a full refund or credit towards future events.

b. Participant Cancellations: Participants who wish to cancel their registration for an event or workshop must notify us in advance. Refund eligibility will depend on the timing of the cancellation and will be subject to a possible administrative fee.

5. Studio Closure: In the unlikely event that Unity Dance Collective needs to close the studio for an extended period, such as due to unforeseen circumstances or government directives, we will assess the situation and determine the appropriate course of action regarding class rescheduling, online sessions, or refunds.

6. Inclement Weather Class Cancellation :

Regularly check email and social media for real-time updates. Ensure your contact info is up-to-date.
In the face of severe weather conditions, we will ensure swift communication regarding any class cancellations or schedule adjustments. Expect notifications via email and updates on our social media channels.
For months with three or more weeks of classes, we consider it a complete month and makeup classes will not be scheduled. This acknowledges the consistency in the schedule during such months.
In the event of a class cancellation due to weather with fewer than three weeks in a month, we offer flexible makeup options. Dancers can choose to:
Have the class rescheduled for another day of the week.
Attend an alternative class within the same week.
Your safety is of utmost importance to us, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation during instances of inclement weather. 

7. Refund Process: a. Refund requests must be submitted in writing to udc@unitydancecollective.com and include the student's name, class details, the reason for the request, and any supporting documentation.

b. Refunds, when applicable, will be processed within 2 business days of receiving the refund request.

Unity Dance Collective reserves the right to modify or update this Return and Refund Policy at its discretion. Any changes will be communicated to all registered students in a timely manner.
